A good friend of mine who died a couple of years ago wanted half his ashes to be buried in Derbyshire, where he’d been living for many years, and the other half taken to his native Wales, and placed in a coracle and floated down the river Teifi. We said prayers on the bank of the river, accompanied by the very loud bleating of Welsh rams who joined in the ceremony!
